Resident Evil 8 Game: A Few Things We Want to See

One of the most famous gaming franchises will receive a new lease of life when the new game, Resident Evil 8, comes out early next year. Not only do we expect the new game to feature a better storyline, we also believe that it will be even more successful than the preceding Resident Evil 7, which was a monstrous success. Capcom, which owns the franchise, will be looking forward to stashing in even more features than before. With that in mind, let us have a look at our Resident Evil 8 game wishlist.

Resident Evil 8 Game Wishlists

Wishlist for Resident Evil 8 Game

Resident Evil is a great franchise. It is based on two pillars: horror and survival. These genres have been explored in depth in all the games. Until now, we have also seen multiple cinematic adaptations as well, which is a testament to the popularity of the franchise. Now, we have seen a detailed list of horror monsters, some of them genuinely scary, and the new game too is expected to feature a great list of new gaming tropes as well. Here are our wishlist features for Resident Evil 8 game.

  1. More Classic Enemies: We need the Baker family to return more prominently in the new game as well. This family is well known for its recurring shock value and a decisive attitude. Essentially, the Baker family’s presence ensures that overkill becomes our mantra. In the last game, we had The Moulded as the enemy characters. They, however, did not seem to be too much of a challenge. Now that we have a new game coming, we expect that the Baker family will be made to return alongside their natural scare value. The game will be the richer for their presence.
  2. A Return to Raccoon City: This is the place where everything began and it seems fitting, therefore, that the new game should visit the ground zero. Spoiler alert but in the last game, the conclusion was fitting with Ethan Winters defeating Eveline at the end. This will mean that the virus could, theoretically, be brought back to the city through Ethan. This would also complete the circle in many respects and would serve as a soft reboot to the original classics.
  3. A Better Finale: Let’s admit it. Resident Evil 7 had a very poor and rather lame ending, which could have been better if the Baker Family were there. We would want to see the new game, Resident Evil 8, take care of that one big loophole.

Borderlands 3 To Incorporate New Gameplay Styles

It seems that fans cannot get enough of the third iteration of action role-playing first-person shooter video game Borderlands and as each day passes by, rumors are keeping their hopes alive. Going by latest rumors, it is being thought that Borderlands 3 will include both large, explorable area and deep gameplay systems.

The Borderlands 3 release date is being rumored to be around in the fall, that is, in September/October 2018.

Borderlands 3 has been set between Borderlands, which came out in 2009 and Borderlands 2, which came out in 2012.

CEO of Gearbox Software, Randy Pitchford has taken it to micro-blogging website Twitter to give a tease vague details in what is being rumored as the sequel to the first –person shooter game.

Pitchford has posted a selfie along with a caption, “During a shoot…I may or may not be a psycho bandit in a video game we may or may not be working on. Also, happy Bulletstorm launch day!” But is not the first time that Pitchford has teased about the launch of Borderlands 3. He hinted a tech demo of the technology that the studio is working on using Unreal Engine 4, which according to him will power “the next Borderlands game” in March 2017, during a Game Developers Conference held at Moscone Cener, California, USA.

All these above rumors confirm that Borderlands 3 is in the later stages of the production. The third game in the series could be made at the developer’s factory.

Borderlands 3 to incorporate better gameplay

In 2016, Borderlands 3 game was confirmed by Gearbox and after completing Battleborn, they would work on Borderlands 3. Art director of Battleborn, Scott Kester has also said that he will handle the art direction of Borderlands 3, while Mikey Neumann, Gearbox Chief Creative Champion, will focus on the writing. Speaking on the issue, Neumann confirmed, “I did the whole scooter thing, then I pitch-shifted it up like seven semitones so it sounds like a chipmunk and it was the funniest thing I’d ever heard.”

Almost four years have gone by since the last edition in the franchise was launched way back in 2012. It seems a long time wait for lovers of the game series.

Although, it does not mean that it would land up on the hands of gamers anytime soon. Publisher Take Two has not included Borderlands 3 in its list of game releases of the fiscal calendar year of 2017.

Although images from the tech demo were not part of the assets that would gradually make it to the third iteration of the game series, but it indeed gave fans of the franchise a look of how it would look like once it gets released.

The first installation of the game was released for PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Xbox 360 and Shield Android TV and instantly became a global hit, only to be succeeded further by the second edition three years later.

A spin-off of the game, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel was launched in 2014 and was unveiled by 2K Australia and focused on events between the timeline of the first two editions of the game franchise.
